Michael Cox is an ASCAP award winning composer, conductor, pianist, and educator. He is Composer-in-Residence at Broadway Baptist Church, Fort Worth, Texas.
In 2009 he retired as Professor of Music Theory and Composition at the
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary's (SWBTS) School of Church Music. Prior to joining the
faculty at Southwestern in the fall of 1990, Dr. Cox taught conducting, composition, and music
theory at Oklahoma Baptist University (OBU) in Shawnee, Oklahoma. More...
